Summer has again gone by too fast for us teachers. Our sixth grade team has been busy taking classes on integrating STEAM into our classrooms at our beautiful Umpqua Community College.. We are very excited to implement all that we have learned. We hope to apply for a grant or two to get the supplies for our ideas. I especially enjoyed learning to felt with wool and want to share this skill with the students as soon as funds are available. We have a lot of math game ideas too. Mrs. Mincher, our Title One teacher joined me and Donna Rexford in Creswell, OR to participate in a training with Kim Sutton from Creative Mathematics. I think learning is going to be a lot of fun this year.
